A friend surprised me with tickets to "Heroes of Speed," an historic sports car racing event at Miller Motorsports Park. Not only did he have tickets, but deluxe suite passes!

We spent the day checking out sports and racing cars dating from the 60s to current manufacture. The pics were taken with a Sony DSC-S85 digital and an ancient steam-powered Asahi Pentax Spotmatic (I bought it at the Canadian PX in Baden-Baden, West Germany around 1969) with an 80-210 mm zoom lens that another friend had graciously lent me.

Most of the pics were taken from the outdoor suite which was along pit road, just before the Start/Finish line above the F1-style garages. The others were taken while wandering (or riding on the back of my friend's Harley) thru the garage area.

It was a great day, a lot of fun, great sights, sounds and even free food! I've put these pics up without captions since I'll be leaving for Speed Week at Bonneville shortly and wanted to get them on the server before I left.
