This was my first year at the salt flats for any kind of racing.
I'd lived in Utah for the greater percentage of my life, but for some reason, I never got involved with Land Speed Racing.
After the first visit (only a part of the last day of Speed Week) I was hooked.
I've gone back for every meet (save one) since then and plan to for as long as I'm able.
