This is the 79 Z-28 that was gonna be my wife's Camaro

Well, this is what it looked like when we bought it. Good thing we got it cheap. The motor was seized, the stereo was gone and the headliner was hanging by a few threads.

And the block from the passenger side. The white stuff in the number 6 (and a little in the number 4) cylinder seems to be some sort of ash. From burning anti-freeze maybe?

So I dropped in a spare motor I had lying around, a little 267 V8.

And while I was at it, I put in a Fairbanks shift kit.

The interior was next, so I put in a carpet kit from ACC.

And I replaced the beat-up old headliner.

I also attempted upholstery for the first time in my life.

I think they turned out very nicely, so I made a "how-to" page about installing seat covers.

Well, the Batmobile has a new owner. It had to go to make way for the 63 Nova

Dave McClelland of Nova list fame will give it a good home.
