See the lighter smoke just around the exhaust pipes? That's about where things went bad. Either the transmission or the one of the rear ends blew all to hell. There were chunks of metal and what looked like a huge pinion gear lying on the track along with a good deal of lubricant. The only good thing about this is that it was the only vehicle in the short course staging lanes at the time. Man, I hated to see that happen to these folks.
