The new motor [3]
The heads are FINALLY on the block.
And getting torqued down.
Then we installed a Corvette aluminum hi-rise manifold and some old sheet metal to keep the cooties out.
After much "Rocky Mountain Cursin'" we finally got the right combination for installing the
oil pump and screen. It helps to use the correct bolts.
Then the fun started. The timing cover, harmonic balancer and all the valve train stuff went on.
We also cleaned and refinished the Corvette manifold cuz it was slightly hammered.
When we got a clean set of valve covers and a carb on there, it almost looks like a real motor.
The quadrajet's just there to keep flies out of the manifold. It was used as a doorstop before and after.
A few more parts and this puppy's ready to fire up. Not like it's taken a while or anything.
Here's the TH350 that's gonna be one of the next projects.
