Removing the 6 cylinder motor

There are too many parts on this thing. We better get to work.

Ok. Now the hood's off. What's next?

How about the bumper? That's relatively easy.

Then the outer fender sheet metal.

And the inner fenders, too.

The back of the driver's side headlight bucket is a little rusty.

These drums are gonna have to go.

The passenger side headlight area's REALLY rusty.
The battery acid did a number on the metal.

Another one of the drum brake things. They're EVERYWHERE!
(And rusty, too.)

This side of the firewall isn't too bad, though.

Ok. The radiator, support and headlight assemblies are off.

Now all that's left is that ol' motor.

Steve and I used my cherry picker to pull the motor out.

It came out REAL easy. Maybe because there weren't all those fenders and things in the way.

Not much left there now.

Looks like those motor mounts are gonna have to move a little to mate up to the 350 V8.

There's it is, sitting by the organ donor. Anybody need a 250/350 combo?
