Some Rust Repair
We had a nasty rust bubble show up this winter. I guess that's what we get for selling the winter beaters, huh?
When Gayle washed the car with a pressure hose, the paint peeled off and revealed a REAL mess.
So I sanded it down in preparation for some of my favorite paint, POR-15.
I really wish they'd make a this stuff in light gray or white. It looks like a Dalmation this way.
I got the POR sanded down and a coat of primer. Some spot putty, a little sanding and we'll be ready to paint the whole panel.
Masked off and ready to prep and shoot.
A coat of flat white sealer should prevent any bleedthrough.
There. Not bad for an amateur and some Duplicolor touch-up paint.
Much better than that ugly ol' rust spot.
