Coyote: The project begins
Well, I bought it from the credit union for a pretty reasonable price and had a neighbor tow it home with his tow dolly.
But I had a trip to San Diego and Phoenix come up and it got to sit for a week. Then another week while Tony's 68 Nova got a coat of paint.
07/31/2000. Well, it finally got some attention. The accumulated grime got washed off, the flat tires (both fronts) got repaired and
the steering mechanism got put together. It still had to sit in the driveway for a while.
Eventually it ended up in the garage and things got started.
My son Colin cleaned and vacuumed out the interior and got rid of all those old dry leaves.
It looks quite a bit better after some cleaning. I haven't decided if it'll get new carpet or not.
The seats vacuumed up pretty nicely...even if the seat covers are a little tacky.
Here's that ugly scoop I mentioned before. The guy who installed it just broke off the non-functional fascia and
slapped some extruded metal screen behind it.
Underneath he hacked a jagged hole and left it unpainted. Not very pretty at all.
Here's the engine bay. It's not dirty...just....yucky.
